The Easiest E-commerce Promotion You’ll Ever Do

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that daily deals websites have exploded in popularity, making them the go-to option for many online shoppers looking for a bargain. Sites like Groupon and Woot have proven that the daily deals model works for companies because consumers love it. Though some skeptics predicted the market for these kinds of promotions would have become over-saturated by now, the popularity of daily deals websites shows no sign of going away. Maybe you’ve recognized this popularity and would like to promote your own company via a daily deals style website or functionality built into your existing site, but worry that the start-up will be too difficult and the maintenance too time-consuming. The good news for you is that besides being incredibly popular with consumers, daily deals can be the easiest e-commerce promotion you’ll ever do.

Many retailers worry that keeping up with the creation of daily deals will be too time consuming, and always require hiring additional employees to maintain. This simply isn’t true. The fact is that daily deals are such an attractive e-commerce promotion for sellers because it can be automated, making it a powerful but trouble-free tool. Using a very simple interface, sellers are able to create the deals they wish to market with very little time investment. Then, these promotions can be scheduled far in advance, so that each day they are automatically released to the public without any additional input from the retailers themselves.

Keep it simple:

The promotion aspect of daily deals marketing can be extremely simple as well. For companies that don’t do much e-commerce promotion, it can seem like a daunting task to spread the word about your deals as they’re offered. In some cases, this is true. If you lack an engaged customer base, and you don’t have a consistent history of offering great promotions, it can be difficult to attract hype when you do offer a sale. With the daily deals model, however, these problems can be eliminated. When you offer daily deals, you can build a subscriber list of people that are eager for your promotions, awaiting them eagerly. Because of the automation features, you can then simply set up the deals you wish to run, and they will be published daily across the mediums of your choice to a consumer group that is already primed to receive them. You can use Facebook, Twitter and email as free marketing tools, and let your automated system send out these deals whenever they come up in the program you’ve built.

Another great part of daily deals marketing is the access to analytics that will help you measure the success of your campaigns, and come in handy for future marketing efforts. When you’re promoting your company via daily deals, up-to-the-minute tracking is absolutely essential. With good software though, this is easy and intuitive. You’ll be able to simply log into your interface and see the how your daily promotional deal is doing in real time. This data can then be collected for later use and analyzed to be sure that you’re offering the kind of deals that will really resonate with your customer base.

Upkeep

Once you’ve broken into the daily deals market, the upkeep required to continue offering attractive deals to your customers is minimal. You’re a busy person, but offering and promoting deals shouldn’t have to cause you additional hassle. Wouldn’t it be great to offer deals that your market actually wants, but not have to constantly worry about coming up with new ones and marketing them? With automated daily deals software, it’s not only possible, but easier than ever. The “deal-a-day” model isn’t going away any time soon. If you’re savvy, you can start making it work for you now as the powerful, yet simple promotional tool that it is.
